Hissay Gyatso Sherpa, a graduate and a diploma holder in interior designing from Kolkata, is the proprietor and manager of Barsey Retreat. Alongside his two brothers, Thupden and Lozang, who are also graduates, and the mother, Passang, they ensure a hospitable and pleasant experience for their guests. Mr. Hissay has extensive knowledge of the region and can offer valuable guidance in planning your itinerary around Okhrey Hattaban and Barasey Rhododendron Sanctuary. He is also well-versed in the various bird species found in Okhrey Hattaban and the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. The three brothers are known for their simplicity and politeness, making them excellent companions for engaging conversations. Additionally, with the assistance of her son, the mother and staff take care of the kitchen and delight guests with delicious Indian, Tibetan, and local Sikkimese cuisine.
